T43 OS - get it working on V43??

Hey - I've just been looking at the new T43 on pmpinside - basically a V43 with DMB built in so no need for the external addon. The OS for it is loads nicer than the V43 OS, for example the movie player looks much better, and it has qtopia built in which may have been suited to it better.

My question is will it be possible to modify the T43 files (firmware, bios etc) so it works on a V43?

basically the T43 is just a V43 with an integrated DMB module. Of course they must have done some little changes but it is the same thing. To my opinion, it should works. Let's now find someone who has a T43 and could send us its OS.

Ohoh !! It could be very very interesting !!!!
But if it's possible, it's not good for Digital Cube because people who has already bought a V43 will not buy the new if they can have the same by upgrade their V43.
So, if I was Digital Cube, I will do in such way that this operation impossible... to sell more T43 and to make more money

we only speak about the UI and the OS, these changes won't make your V43 able to recept DMB...

With any firmware/new UI that is released or that we create, the icon layout is the same... I'm not exactly sure how we could be able to move these icons, and if we would, couldn't we just do it ourselves? I'm thinking we'll need to try a firmware update with a release of the T43. If it doesn't work straight out, some one may have to "decrypt" it or something and make it compatible, seeing as the internal specs. are almost identical. (sans DMB and, in some cases, GPS)
